LADIES, MAY I ASK YOU SOMETHING.......
I wonder if you are as unhappy as I was a few years ago; if you are living a life which is NOT what you really want and if, like I did, you are realising that you are not particularly proud of yourself?
So many of us end up with little respect for ourselves, doing something or being in a situation which is demeaning to our real capabilities and we usually just accept it as "our lot". It becomes a destructive cycle because somehow, it is easier to do nothing about changing things, even when you recognize that your true potential has not been realised and when you know in your heart that you are not happy. For one thing you possibly don't know who to turn to, or don't have a suitable friend to talk things over with...... and then a dozen other excuses come to mind why you should just stay put, even if you have thought of getting out of your present unsatisfactory circumstances, I know all too well.
This predicament affects all ages, races and different income-levels of females, those with and without children. Of course, it also affects males but not as many and certainly not for the same reasons. Here, we are addressing the oppression of women; the empowerment of women to do as THEY would want to, in the face of that oppression. We women CAN break through to change things, to take control of our own lives.
